Driving lessons in Tower Hamlets

E1 · E2 · E3

Tower Hamlets is home ground — East London Driving School is based on Burdett Road in Bow, so your instructor teaches these streets every working day. It's a demanding place to learn: the Bow Roundabout and its cycle lanes, the Blackwall Tunnel approach, buses threading Roman Road market. It's also the best possible training ground, because a pupil who can handle E3 at rush hour can drive anywhere in Britain.

What learning to drive in Tower Hamlets is really like

Fully qualified instructors, never trainees

Every instructor holds full DVSA approval and displays the green ADI badge — we don't put pupils with trainee (pink-badge) instructors, a practice that's more common at big national schools than most learners realise.

The junctions we drill until they're boring

Bow Roundabout with its separate cycle phases, the A11/Burdett Road lights, right turns off Mile End Road, and the narrow one-ways around Bethnal Green. These come up in lessons early and often, because confidence at the hard junctions is what makes the rest of the borough feel easy.

Pick-up where you actually are

We collect pupils from home, work and campus across E1, E2 and E3 — Mile End and Whitechapel for Queen Mary students, Bethnal Green, Bow and Bromley-by-Bow. Evening and weekend lessons cost the same as weekday ones.

Tower Hamlets driving lessons — common questions

Yes — this is our home borough. The school is based on Burdett Road in Bow, so your driving instructor works E1, E2 and E3 every day and knows Bow Roundabout, Mile End Road and the Bethnal Green one-ways as routine. Every instructor is fully qualified and DVSA-approved, never a trainee on a pink badge.

Learning right on the edge of Tower Hamlets? You may want driving lessons in Docklands and the Isle of Dogs or driving lessons in Hackney instead.
